Meet the Baker
Growing up, I always wanted to open up my own little bake shop and create delicious items that everyone would love. I enjoyed spending nights watching cake boss on Tv and the cakes people created were amazing. I adored Buddy and always wanted to be on his show one day but regular cakes and decorating them wasn't my strong point. My mom loved to bake and baked cakes on the side growing up and we spent a lot of time in the kitchen baking, especially around Christmas time. It only took me until I was almost 40yrs old to finally go for my dream. I never would have thought that cheesecakes out of all desserts would be where I really shinned.
Cheesecakes were always fascinating to me. I love the concept of them and enjoyed a small piece from time to time but I could never get overly excited about them at restaurants or stores. To me they just seemed plain, too thick to enjoy eating and mostly the simplest ones were often too sweet to finish. So, I found a simple NY Style recipe and I worked with it. I worked it and worked it until I finally found that perfect flavor, texture and overall taste of what I feel a cheesecake should taste like.
Throughout my years I worked many jobs and lost a lot of time to mess around in my kitchen. Until a day when an old friend mentioned how he could go for a Strawberry Cheesecake. So, I got in the kitchen and whipped one up. Posted a picture of my creation on FB where friends commented and asked if I could make them one. I never would have thought in a million years, that a conversation with a good friend and one picture of my cheesecake would help my dream start to come true. I now have over 30 flavors, and I get to enjoy watching so many people enjoy what I created. From simple orders, to farmers markets, store shelves, restaurants, birthdays, baby showers, hotel events and weddings, my cheesecakes have made a huge impact in such a short amount of time. I’m finally doing what I love and always dreamed of and there is nothing in this world that would make me happier than I am each day I step foot in the kitchen and get to create my next masterpiece.
